Counseling Services
What services do I provide?
-
- Small-group counseling
- Small group counseling typically runs for 4-6 weeks, with each session lasting about 30 minutes. Topics for small group counseling can include support for grief, building confidence, friendship skills, and more. These sessions provide students with a supportive environment to address their needs and develop important skills.
- Short-term individual counseling
- Short-term individual counseling typically lasts about 4-8 weeks. Its goal is to support children in acquiring essential skills for learning, helping them thrive and succeed in their educational journey. This personalized approach addresses specific needs and fosters growth to enhance their overall school experience.
- Social and emotional classroom lessons
- I will be providing monthly social and emotional classroom guidance lessons to ensure that all students have access to the school counseling program. These lessons are designed to support students' social and emotional development, helping them build essential skills and navigate their school experience more effectively.
- Collaboration with staff and families
- In my role as a school counselor, I am eager to collaborate with all staff and families to ensure that our students thrive. I believe in creating a well-established support system that bridges home and school, working together to provide the best possible support for each student’s success and well-being.
- Counseling Referrals
- School Counselors do not provide therapy. Therefore, referrals to outside counseling services are available if a student needs additional support.
